Start with the floor. Your corrective care plan has to be priced so you’re not losing money every time you help someone. Your cheapest plan, after every family discount and prepay deal, still has to sit above your cost per visit.
Otherwise, you’re basically paying them to come in.
That’s the foundation. There’s another level to build on top of it, and this is where most docs miss the mark.
It’s your Advanced Tier.
The one thing you do with such excellence that no one else in your town, maybe in your state, can touch it.
That’s where your mastery lives.
For us, it’s cranials. It’s what takes a care plan from “you’re doing great” to “holy sh*t, this changed my kid’s life.”
And yes, it costs more. An extra $5, $25 or $50+ per visit, it’s up to you. It’s not greed. You’re charging appropriately for a skill that took years (and thousands of hours) to develop.
When you start presenting your advanced tier, something shifts in you too. You stop underselling your craft.
And honestly? I’d rather see you charge more for mastery in chiropractic than for the latest laser, gizmo or gadget. Those things don’t define your value. The results you deliver do.
Lead with your highest level of care (when appropriate). Most people will say yes. Some will say “not yet.” That’s fine. They can start with corrective care and upgrade later.
You stay in integrity. You present the level of care that gives them the best chance at real change, and you meet them where they are if they’re not ready yet.
People don’t buy “chiropractic.” They buy the change it creates. Better sleep, calmer kids, clearer speech, smoother movement, a body that finally works the way it’s supposed to.
So what’s your Advanced Tier? What’s the one thing that sets you apart so clearly it makes your other offers look like the warm-up act?
